How many questions are on the ASE A5 Brakes test?

The A5 brakes test has around 55 questions, and not all questions are the same for each test taker. It's essential to practice using trail ASE tests until you demonstrate sufficient knowledge of topics like the disc brake squeal, caliper disc brakes, spongy brake pedal, power brake booster, and disc brake pad. Practice exams are the perfect way to prep yourself for these systems. 

How much does ASE certification cost?

At this point, each test costs $47 plus a $34 registration fee. In all, it costs $457 to become ASE certified. Of course, preparing for each exam increases your chances of passing, which makes you more likely to pass the ASE test on the first try.
